Called: Self

These powers come from the land, the sea, the wind, fire, or even time and space itself. The individual has a connection to these things, and all life in a way that brings them in harmony with it, or that they can abuse and bring disharmony.

This connection is neither innate nor studied. It comes from the individual hearing and sensing a call from the wild, and choosing to answer it. When this call rings out for them is of no certainty, but the choice to listen grants them exceptional abilities.

Classic Tropes
Magic, Magic Druid Weilds powerful natural magic

Martial, Magic Ranger A protector of the wilds

Inherited: Self

These powers come from having known nothing else but a life with access to it. It is as much a part of them as the ability to walk.

They might be the first of their kind, or receive the powers through an ancient ancestry.

Because of this, they are often very powerful in what they can achieve, but lack the discipline to apply their gifts accurately or tactfully.

Classic Tropes

Prepared: Self

These powers were attained through intense exercise and labour of the body and/or mind.

What is given up for this power is the freedom to experience more of life throughout the years of study, often during the youth of the individual.

These individuals have become experts in their field or trade, and their experience cannot be taken from them, therefore neither can their power.
