Scale Categories

Scale Category

All creatures fall into one of five categories of scale: Normal, Enormous, Titanic, Colossal, Atlantean

Each category represents a drastic increase in size, power, and influence on the world around them.

Scaling Formula

The scale of a creature affects multiple aspects of its stats, powers and abilities including strength, lifting capacity, volume, and potentially other attributes.

The general formula for this scaling is:

~ Creature_Stat = Base_Stat * (Scale_Factor ^ Scale_Category)

Base_Stat: The baseline value. eg. Base Lift is determined by (str * str) kilograms eg. Base Speed is determined by (dex) meters eg. Base Volume is determined by size modifier cubic meters Scale_Factor: The multiplier for each stat. Typically 100 if not otherwise specified. ~

Description of Scale Categories

Normal

Scale Category: 0

A standard creature of average size for its species.

Enormous

Scale Category: 1

Titanic

Scale Category: 2

Gigantic creatures that dwarf buildings and reshape landscapes with their movement. They have a profound impact on the environment and ecosystems.

Colossal

Scale Category: 3

Atlantean

Scale Category: 4
