Senses

These are the ways in which creatures are able to perceive the world around them. The details chosen for the senses effect perception.

Core Senses

Sensitivity Levels
impaired dull average bright heightened

Impaired senses are not functional, but can be affected by evolutions, spells, and other effects


It is recommended for balance that GMs enforce a minimum of 10 evolution points to the core senses, and that no augmentations may be purchased on any sense that is below bright sensitivity.

Cost

Each sensitivity can be increased by 1 level of sensitivity per 1 evolution point spent


If sensitivity is decreased below impaired, gain 2 evolution points

Impairment

When increasing or decreasing a core sense away from an average sensitivity level, that sense's related stat is increased or decreased inversely to wisdom as shown in the tables below.

sight see the standard color spectrum of light
gamma-x-ray see through solid objects

microscopic see incredibly fine detail
astral see spirits, entities of astral plane
arcane see macrogeometric auras
occular resilience less affected by bright light
Hearing
hearing distinguish frequencies in standard range
equilibrioception sense of balance, rotation, motion, gravity
infrasonic hear sounds below standard audible range
ultrasonic hear sounds above standard audible range
echolocation sense surroundings from sound reflections

Touch
